Our team is on a mission to make Climate Wayfinding available and accessible across higher education, philanthropy, the workplace, and beyond.
We offer workshops for people seeking tools to support their own climate journeys and trainings for those who want to facilitate the program in community.
Many people are looking at the climate crisis with distress and grappling with the question “what can I do?” Climate Wayfinding is a proven program for holding that question well and gaining clarity, courage, and community for our climate journeys. Through diverse modes of exploration, participants look inward, outward, and forward to discern and enliven their unique contributions and develop key capacities for climate engagement.
How we find our way
-
Explore climate emotions, values, and “superpowers”
We welcome and witness the essential emotions, core motivations, and guiding values that we bring with us into climate engagement, reflecting on what insight or counsel they offer; and we discern and honor the skills or “superpowers” we want to contribute to collective transformation. -
Explore climate solutions, accelerators, and community
We scan the wide range of climate solutions and accelerators (or “leverage points”) for change, using our energy and curiosity to filter and gain focus; and we survey our unique contexts and communities, to consider where we want to engage and who our collaborators could be. -
Create a personalized “climate compass” and plan
We weave together our threads of inquiry and discovery to each create a Climate Compass—a living navigational tool for our climate journeys; and we plan next steps to deepen or enliven our climate engagement, taking action in our personal, professional (or educational), and public lives.
Who is this program for?
Climate Wayfinding is for people seeking clarity, courage, and community on their climate journeys.
✓ You’re grappling with how to be of use for climate healing or looking to find your place in climate engagement.
✓ You’re engaged already but feeling stuck, restless, or hungry for a deeper sense of purpose and contribution.
✓ You’re eager to grow your own capacities for finding your way or want to support others on their climate journeys.
✓ You’re feeling isolated in your climate engagement, and looking for kindred community.
By fostering space for individual and collective navigation amidst the climate crisis, this program is designed to meet all of those needs and more. All backgrounds, disciplines, and career stages are warmly welcome!
But…Climate Wayfinding isn’t for everyone. If you aren’t interested in deeper introspection, exploring climate emotions, or engaging in community, you won’t enjoy this program. If you’re looking primarily for climate 101, career counseling, technical content, or one-size-fits-all answers, you’ll be better served elsewhere.
What does the experience involve?
Climate Wayfinding participants are invited to “turn the kaleidoscope” of reflection and exploration in myriad ways, such as…
